Assault, Allenstown

Police are investigating after a woman was assaulted at an Allenstown residence early this morning.

Initial investigations indicate around 5am a woman was sitting in an open area under her residence in Murray Street.  The woman went to investigate a noise in her laundry before she blacked out.

The 43-year-old woman was treated at the scene for grazing to the side of her head.

Investigations are continuing with police appealing for anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area at the time to contact Crime Stoppers.
