Assault, Brisbane City

Detectives investigating an assault in Brisbane City in February have released an image of a man that may be able to assist with their inquiries.

At about 7.45pm on Friday, February 5, a 21-year-old Brisbane woman was at a licenced premises with friends at King George Square. A man sitting at the next table had a brief discussion with the woman and her friend and then his drink was spilt on her.

She and her friend left the premises and where standing next to a garden bed in King George Square when she was shoulder barged by the man. The woman has fallen and hit her head on the timber seating around the garden bed.

The man was last seen running toward Central Station on Ann Street.

The woman received a small laceration to her scalp and was transported to hospital as a precaution.

The man is described as approximately 183cm tall, Islander in appearance, stocky build and in his early forties.
