Police have charged two more people over the alleged assault and deprivation of a woman at Mooroobool on March 3.
A 20-year-old Trinity Park woman and a 26-year-old Manoora man were charged on Saturday as part of the ongoing investigations.
They were subsequently charged with one count each of deprivation of liberty and assault occasioning bodily harm and are scheduled to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on March 29 and 30 respectively.
The charges relate to an incident on March 3 where it will be alleged a 32-year-old woman was assaulted at a Mooroobool residence before being driven away in a car and further assaulted.
The woman was able to flee before raising the alarm. She was taken to Cairns Hospital with serious head injuries.
Three women and a man had already been charged in relation to the same incident and investigations are continuing.
