Appeal for public assistance: Unlawful wounding, Fortitude Valley

Detectives have released CCTV images of two men who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigations into an unlawful wounding incident at Fortitude Valley this morning.

Just after 5.00am police were called to Brunswick Street following reports that a group of men were involved in an altercation, resulting in a 22-year-old man receiving a non-life threatening stab wound to his left arm.

A 35-year-old man also received leg injuries as a result of the incident.

The pair were transported to the Royal Brisbane and Womens Hospital where they remain in a stable condition.

Police have released CCTV images of two men who may be able to assist them with their investigations.  The first man is described as African in appearance, proportionate build, short black hair and wearing blue shirt, blue and grey singlet, cream trousers and black and white shoes.  The second man is described as African in appearance, proportionate build, short black hair and wearing black trousers, cream coloured boots and a black shirt with white writing on the front.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any information which may be able to assist police is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
