Armed robbery, Oakey

A 49-year-old man is assisting police following the armed robbery of a convince store this morning in Oakey.

A man entered the convenience store on Toowoomba Road at around 10am, where it will be alleged that he produced a pair of scissors and threatened the attendant, demanding cash.

He then left the scene on foot with a sum of cash.  When leaving, it will be further alleged that he assaulted a woman, causing minor injuries.

Detectives are also interested in locating a vehicle that they believe could also assist with investigations.

The vehicle (as pictured) is a 2005 model Ford territory wagon bearing the Queensland registration 630 TUO.

Anyone who may have seen this vehicle, or who may have any other information which could assist with enquiries is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.

Investigations are continuing.
