Fatal traffic incident, Brisbane

A cyclist critically injured in a single bicycle crash on the Go Between Bridge on Friday, February 12, passed away in hospital yesterday afternoon.

Just before 5am emergency services were called to attend to a 46-year-old man who had crashed his bike on the bike path on the northern side (Coronation Drive) of the Go Between Bridge.

The man was found to have sustained a critical head injury and he was transported to the Royal Brisbane Hospital.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash and has not come forward to contact police on Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Investigations into the crash are continuing.
