Update: Search and rescue, Josephine Falls, Babinda

A search involving multiple agencies has located the body of a man who was reported missing after swimming at Josephine Falls.

Around 5.30pm yesterday afternoon, police received information a man was missing after he and a woman, both tourists, had been swimming at the falls.

A 25-year-old man from the United Kingdom was located deceased approximately 1800 meters downstream of Josephine Falls this afternoon.

There are no suspicious circumstances. Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
