Discharge of firearm, North Mackay

Police are investigating following an incident involving a firearm in North Mackay this morning.

Initial investigations suggest that at around 7:15am a firearm was discharged from a vehicle into a Harrington Street property.

A female occupant of the property, who was home, at the time was not injured.

The vehicle is described as 2010 silver Holden Commodore.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any information that may assist with the investigation to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Investigations are continuing.
