Fatal traffic crash, Armstrong Creek

A 63-year-old man has died in a traffic crash that occurred this morning at Armstrong Creek.

Around 6.35am, emergency services were called to a traffic incident involving a bicycle and motorbike on Mount Samson Road.

Preliminary investigations suggest the bicycle and motorbike were both travelling southbound along Mount Samson Road when they have collided.

The rider of the bicycle, a 63-year-old local man, was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a serious condition, where he later died as a result of his injuries.

The rider of the motorbike, a 21-year-old man, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for treatment.

The Forensic Crash Unit in investigating.
