Unlawful wounding, Deception Bay

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following the unlawful wounding of a 16-year-old boy in Deception Bay at around midnight.

Initial investigations suggest the boy was speaking on a mobile phone on Eveshan Road when he was approached by a man who stabbed the boy in the abdomen before leaving the scene on foot.

The boy was subsequently transported to Redcliffe hospital for treatment of a non-life threatening stab wound.

The man is described as approximately 183cm tall, of medium build wearing a dark-coloured hoodie and grey-coloured ‘Everlast’ tracksuit pants.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area to contact Crime Stoppers.
