Serious traffic crash, Mount Hallen

Police are currently at the scene of a serious single vehicle traffic crash that occurred at Mount Hallen this morning.

Initial information suggests that at around 9.45am a vehicle left the Gatton Esk Road and crashed into a tree.

A man, who was the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle at the time of the crash, has received serious injuries.

Gatton Esk Road is currently closed in both directions and diversions are in place.

Motorists travelling from Esk are advised to use Esk Hampton Road intersection as an alternative route while those coming from Gatton are to use Atkinson Dam Road.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
