Drug and poisoning charges, Carrara

Police have charged a man following the alleged poisoning of a baby on the Gold Coast.

On the evening of January 10, a two-month-old female infant was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital after she was allegedly administered a drug.

The infant remains in the GCUH in a stable condition.

A 22-year-old Carrara man will appear at the Southport Magistrates Court this morning charged with one count of administering poison with intent to harm and possession of a controlled substance.
