Two 21-year-old men have had their charges upgraded following an incident in Fortitude Valley yesterday morning which led to the death of an 18-year-old Highgate Hill man.
It will be alleged around 3.30am Cole Miller was walking with a man on Duncan Street when he was assaulted.
The victim suffered serious head injuries and was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital where he was pronounced deceased today.
Two men, one from Coombabah and the other from Tanah Merah, were originally charged with grievous bodily harm.
The charges have this afternoon been revised to unlawful striking causing death.
The pair will next appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow.
