Police and other agencies are continuing their air, sea and land search for a missing surfer at Main Beach today.
Today’s search involves a rescue helicopter, beach patrols, and water police and other agencies on jet boats and jet skis.
A leg rope was located at 5.30am this morning 200m south of the Seaway, however, it is still unclear as to whether it belongs to the missing man’s surfboard.
His white and green surfboard has not been recovered.
Officers began searching for the man yesterday after a fisherman saw him go under a wave and not resurface at around 6am at The Spit.
A vehicle belonging to a man was located in the Seaway carpark yesterday.
