Attempted armed robbery, Inala

Police are investigating after a man armed with a knife attempted to rob an Inala service station late last night.

Around 11pm a man entered the Freeman Road business and produced a knife before reaching across the counter towards the male attendant with his other hand.

The attendant stepped back out of reach at which point the armed man left the business empty handed.

The attendant was not physically injured.

The man is described as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander appearance, 180cm tall and was wearing a black cap, red jacket, light coloured shorts, and sneakers.
