Armed robbery, Bald Hills

Police are investigating after a licenced premises was robbed at Bald Hills last night.

Around 9.30pm two men entered the Gympie Road premises, one man armed with a chain, and approached the bar.

They have followed the bartender behind the bar with one man taking the cash register drawer from one register as the bartender opened the second. The other man took cash from the second register.

Both men then left the premises and are believed to have been driven away by a dark coloured vehicle.

The bartender, a 36-year-old man, was not physically harmed.

Both men are described as being of Aboriginal appearance around 170cm tall with one of slim build and the other of average build.
