Appeal for public assistance, Mountain Creek

Sunshine Coast detectives are investigating after a projectile was shot into the bedroom window of a home at Mountain Creek last night.

Initial information suggests around 10.30pm, as many as three projectiles may have been shot into the house on Greenway Place.

Witnesses have told police they heard three quick, loud sounds followed by the sound of a vehicle speeding away.

A 36-year-old man was in the bedroom at the time, but he was not physically injured.

Police, including scientific officers and ballistics experts, attended the scene today and located pieces of a projectile.

Police also located a discharged bullet casing nearby.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have been in the vicinity of Greenway and Glenfields Boulevard around 10.30pm on Sunday.
