Police are continuing to search for a 30-year-old Innisfail woman reported missing from Biggs Road at Bartle Frere near Josephine Falls around 3pm yesterday afternoon.
Police are coordinating the search and rescue with the assistance of the Police Dive Squad, the Tactical Crime Squad and the State Emergency Service. Aerial searches were conducted throughout this morning.
The woman attended the popular swimming spot known as Golden Hole with two men known to her yesterday morning. The alarm was raised after the woman failed to return to the vehicle after becoming separated from the two men.
Police are urging anyone that was in the area yesterday, that hasn’t already spoken to police, and may have seen the woman or the two men she was with to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
The woman is described as Caucasian, 175cm tall, with a heavy build and dark brown hair.
