PSPA declaration, Brisbane City

Police have declared an emergency situation under the Public Safety Preservation Act in Brisbane City.

Around 2pm, a suspected suspicious device was located near Queensland Police Service Headquarters.

The declaration is in place for Makerston, Roma, Garrick and May streets, as well as North Quay and all the area within.

Specialist police are in attendance.
