Update – Serious traffic crash, Blackwater

Officers from the Forensic Crash Unit are investigating following the death of a 17-year-old Emerald woman after this morning’s traffic crash on the Capricorn Highway near Blackwater.

A car driven by the woman collided with another car at the intersection of the Capricorn Highway and Yarrabee Mine Hall Road about 7:30am.

The woman’s male passenger and the male driver of the other car received minor injuries in the crash.

The Capricorn Highway remains reduced to one lane while investigations continue.

Delays are expected.
