House fire, Browns Plains

Police are investigating a house fire that occurred this afternoon in Browns Plains.

Around 2:30pm, police were called to a residence on Downing Street to reports of a fire.

On arrival, a 34-year-old woman had received burns and was transported to the Royal Brisbane Hospital in a serious condition.

She was the sole occupant of the house at the time, and no one else was injured.

Investigations into the cause of the fire are continuing.
