Police are currently at the scene of a serious two vehicle crash in Mermaid Waters this afternoon.
Initial reports indicate the crash involving a vehicle and motorcycle occurred on the corner of Hooker Boulevard and Bermuda Street just before 3pm.
At this stage it is believed the rider is in a critical condition as a result of the crash.
Further injuries are unknown at this stage.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area including the corner of Hooker Boulevard and Bermuda Street and seek alternate routes as the area is currently closed.
Major traffic delays are expected as a result of the road closure.
