Police are currently at the scene of a fatal traffic crash at Mermaid Waters.
Initial investigations indicate that a bicycle and a car collided at the intersection of Hooker Boulevard and Bermuda Street just before 3pm.
The bicycle rider was taken to the Gold Coast Hospital but has died from injuries.
The driver of the vehicle, a man, was not physically injured.
Part of the intersection remains closed with traffic diversions in place.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating and would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the crash.
