Fatal traffic crash, Cairns

Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal traffic crash in Cairns this morning.

At around 10.50am a utility hit a pedestrian at the intersection of Sheridan and McKenzie streets.

The pedestrian died at the scene.

Traffic is currently being diverted along James and Martin streets.

Police urge anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact Cairns police on (07)
4030 7000.

There is no further information available at this time.
