A man is to face court charged with the possession of a firearm after his vehicle was intercepted at Biggera Waters yesterday afternoon.
Officers in the police helicopter spotted a man with a rifle in bushland off Foxwell Road, Coomera just after 2pm.
The man then drove away and was intercepted by police on Brisbane Road a short time later. During a search of the vehicle police allegedly discovered an air rifle.
A 21-year-old Labrador man has also been charged with driving without a licence and is to appear at the Southport Magistrates Court on October 10.
