Police have charged a man following an incident in Tambo last night.
It will be alleged that around 8pm, a man armed with a knife unlawfully entered the Barcoo Street residence and assaulted a 47-year-old woman.
It is further alleged the man stole a rifle and ammunition.
A 49-year-old man has been charged with 10 offences, including two counts of deprivation of liberty and assault occasioning bodily harm, and one count each of armed robbery, stealing, going armed so as to cause fear, acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, unlawful stalking, and enter dwelling with intent.
He was expected to appear in the Charleville Magistrates Court this afternoon.
