Police are investigating the break and enter of two pizza shops that occurred overnight on the Gold Coast.
Initial information suggests that around 1.40 this morning, two men have smashed a glass door to a Lae Drive pizza shop in Runaway Bay, and entered the business.
They removed a safe from the premises which contained a sum of cash, and then loaded the safe into a white Holden Commodore sedan.
The vehicle is believed to have been stolen earlier in the evening from Broadbeach.
Around 3.10am, two men have smashed the glass door of an Ocean Street pizza shop in Burleigh Heads.
They have entered the business, but have left a short time later without any property.
Police believe that the two incidents are linked, and are appealing for public assistance.
The two men are described as being Pacific Islander in appearance, and were both seen wearing dark pants and white hooded jumpers.
The vehicle they are believed to be travelling in is a 2000 model Holden Commodore SS sedan, QLD Registration 010 RTF.
Investigations into the two incidents are continuing.
