Police have charged a man with drink driving following a collision between a car and a bus at Beenleigh this morning.
Twenty-three tourists were injured when the bus taking them for a day out at a Gold Coast theme park tipped onto its side after it was involved in a collision with a car.
Preliminary information suggests that the crash occurred during a lane changing maneuver on the Pacific Motorway (M1), southbound, just after 11am.
The driver of the sedan, a 20-year-old Birkdale man, has been charged with one count of driving a motor vehicle whilst under the influence of liquor.
He has been released and is due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on November 6.
Investigations by the Forensic Crash Unit are continuing.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward with information.
