Serious traffic crash, Haigslea (near Ipswich)

Police are investigating following a traffic crash earlier today on the Warrego Highway near Haigslea.

Around 1.05 this afternoon, two vehicles have collided at the intersection of Amberley-Walloon Road and the Warrego Highway.

A 47-year-old female from one of the vehicles has sustained serious head and internal injuries as a result of the collision.

She has been transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital where she is in a critical condition.

One lane of the highway was closed for some time.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
