Assault police charges, Fortitude Valley

Police have charged a 17-year-old Goodna man over the alleged assault of police officer earlier this morning.

It will be alleged that police have been speaking to a man in relation of public nuisance offences on Albert Street when he has punched a female Sergeant in the face.

It will be further alleged that he has then run from police and was apprehended a short time later.

He has been charged with one count of serious assault police and one count of obstruct police.

He is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on August 21.
