Serious traffic crash, Tully

A man is in a critical condition following a serious two vehicle crash just south of Tully this afternoon.

Preliminary information indicates the crash involving a four-wheel-drive and a station wagon occurred on the Bruce Highway at the Tully and Dallachy Road intersection just after 4pm.

The driver and sole occupant of the station wagon, a 31-year-old man was transported to the Tully Hospital with serious head injuries and later flown to Townsville Hospital in a critical but stable condition.

The driver of the four-wheel-drive, 47-year-old man and his three passengers; two girls aged 9, 16 and a 24-year-old man, received minor injuries and were taken to the Tully Hospital for treatment.
