Cairns detectives are continuing to investigate the alleged murder of Mt Isa couple Scott Maitland and Cindy Masonwells.
The pair has not been seen since arriving in Cairns over a week ago.
Police are appealing for public assistance in relation to the movements of a white van (pictured) on the night of Thursday July 5, between the hours of 9pm and 1am the next day.
Anyone who may have seen the vehicle or a similar vehicle either parked in an unusual location or being driven in a suspicious manner in the Cairns area during that time is being urged to contact police.
The vehicle is a white 2001 model Ford Econovan with white wheels. It has glass windows on the left side of the cargo area and painted steel panels on the right side.
