Armed robbery, Douglas

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a Douglas supermarket last night.

Around 7.15, a man armed with a gun and a woman armed with a knife entered the Riverside Boulevard business and threatened two female staff members.

The man and woman fled the scene with a sum of cash.

It is believed that no one was physically injured during the incident.

The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, around 170cm tall and of a slim build. He was wearing a black balaclava, black jacket and black pants.

The woman is described as being Caucasian in appearance, also around 170cm tall and of a slim build. She had brown eyes and was wearing a dark long-sleeved jacket and black pants.
