Police from the Dutton Park Criminal Investigation Branch are investigating a series of incidents that occurred in South Brisbane yesterday.
Shortly after 9am, a silver Subaru station wagon crashed into a number of parked vehicles on Annerley Road, Annerley and fled the scene without stopping.
A short time later, the male driver of the Subaru abandoned the vehicle on Stephens Road, South Brisbane.
The man approached a nearby vehicle on Stephens Street, a Mini Cooper, opened the driver side door and pulled the 41-year-old male driver out of the vehicle.
The offender then fled the scene in the Mini Cooper.
A short time later, the vehicle was seen travelling in a dangerous manner on Gladstone Road and crashed into another parked vehicle on Cordelia Street, South Brisbane.
The Mini Cooper was located abandoned on Boundary Road, West End around 9.20am.
The 41-year-old owner of the Mini Cooper suffered soreness to the shoulder as a result of the incident, but did not require medical attention.
The offender is described as being Pacific Islander in appearance, aged in his twenties, approximately 175cm tall with average build.
At the time of the offences, he was wearing dark clothing.
Investigations are continuing.
