Grievous bodily harm, Sherwood

A man has been charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm following investigations into an incident in which a man allegedly had part of an ear bitten off at Sherwood on Friday night.

It will be alleged there was an altercation between two men on the verandah of a Lilly Street house around 8pm when a 51-year-old man received the injury.

The Graceville man was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment.

A 50-year-old Tennyson man is expected to appear at the Richlands Magistrates Court today.
