A search is underway for a person possibly missing in waters off Broadbeach.
Police were advised around 10pm that a male swimmer was in distress in the surf.
An air, land and sea search was commenced whilst investigations were undertaken to determine if anyone was missing.
The search is currently suspended with the Gold Coast Water Police to recommence searching at first light.
At this time, police have not received a report of anyone missing in the area.
