Armed robbery, Kirwan

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a pharmacy in Kirwan yesterday afternoon.

Around 1.30pm, a man entered the Bamford Lane business and approached the counter.

The man produced a screwdriver and threatened a staff member before stealing a sum of drugs.

He then fled the store on foot. No one was physically injured during the incident.

Investigations are continuing.
