Traffic crash, Surfers Paradise

Police are investigating after a teenage girl was hospitalised following a traffic crash at Surfers Paradise this morning.

Initial investigations suggest that around 7.50am a traffic crash occurred between a car and a pedestrian at Ferny Avenue.

The pedestrian, a 15-year-old Worongary girl, was taken to the Gold Coast Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The 30-year-old Carrara man driving the car was not injured.

A second vehicle sustained minor damaged as a result of the original crash.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
