Police are investigating the armed robbery of a pharmacy at Aitkenvale this afternoon.
Around 12.35pm a woman entered the store on Ross River Road and made claims to staff and customers that she was armed with a firearm.
The woman forced employees to fill a bag with prescription medication before stealing it and fleeing the scene on foot.
The woman is described as being Caucasian in appearance, approximately 45 – 50 years-old, about 170cm tall with a solid build and dark brown hair.
She was wearing a beige jumper and beanie, blue tracksuit pants, a black mask and dark sunglasses.
No one was physically injured and no weapon was sighted during the incident.
