The Gold Coast Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) today closed two long running drug operations – Juliet Altitude and Kilo Pelt.
Detective Inspector Tim Trezise from Gold Coast CIB said that both operations utilised a range of overt and covert investigative strategies.
“The focus of the operations was to investigate two organised drug syndicates allegedly selling amphetamines and other drugs on the Gold Coast.
“Detectives executed more than 20 search warrants on premises located in Southport, Surfers Paradise, Labrador, Oxenford, Paradise Point and Coombabah.
“Various quantities of drugs have been seized today and during the course of the investigation.”
Sixteen people have been charged with drug offences as a result of today’s raids, including ten with drug trafficking.
