Armed robbery, Inala

Police are investigating the armed robbery and assault of a man at Inala this morning.

Around 6.20am a 45-year-old man was walking in a shopping centre car park on Corsair Avenue when he was approached by a man.

He was struck on the back of the head with a blunt metal object before dropping his bag on the ground.

Another man grabbed the bag and both offenders fled the scene.

The victim sustained bruising.

One man is described as being Pacific Islander in appearance, in his early 20s, approximately 174cm tall with a solid build and black hair.

He was wearing a black jumper and dark shorts.

The other man is described as having a slim build and wearing black pants and a black jacket with a hoodie.
