Unlawful use of a motor vehicle, Logan and Coomera Districts

Two men have been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle following an incident on the Gold Coast overnight.

Police observed a vehicle, allegedly reported stolen from Eagleby on May 3, driving along Business Road at Yatala around 9pm.

It is alleged the driver drove in a dangerous manner over a number of suburbs until police successfully deployed a tyre deflation device across Hope Island Road, Hope Island.

The vehicle continued along with one deflated tyre until coming to a stop on Siganto Drive.

All five occupants of the vehicle ran from the scene. Police apprehended two men and a 15-year-old girl nearby with the assistance of the police dog squad.

A 26-year-old Kogan man and a 21-year-old Wurtulla man are due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court today.

Investigations are continuing.
