Toowoomba Police are continuing to investigate a home burglary at an address on Hillview Crescent at Gowrie Junction on Sunday night.
During the burglary, three men entered the home armed with two firearms and tied up a woman before confronting a man.
Before leaving the address, the men searched the house and stole two registered firearms.
The men left the residence in a white van.
Inquiries have since revealed one of the stolen firearms, a rifle, is faulty and may cause harm to the person in possession.
Police are urging anyone who may come across the firearm to contact local police or Crime Stoppers.
The first man is described as approximately 175cm tall, of skinny build, black short hair, stubble on his face and a tanned complexion. He was wearing a black denim jacket, a red shirt and black jeans. He was armed with a handgun.
The second man is described as having a short, stocky build, with a tanned complexion. He was wearing long pants and was armed with a handgun.
The third man is described as being 173cm tall, of thin build and was armed with a rifle.
The white van is described as having no rear windows and was last seen driving south on Hillview Street.
