Police have charged a 35-year-old local man with several offences after a traffic incident in Albany Creek early this morning.
Police observed a car allegedly driving erratically on Faheys Road East at around 12.55am, and attempted to intercept the vehicle.
The car was then seen to accelerate away from police, but was forced to stop at the end of a cul-de-sac.
Police pulled up on the side of the road and the man allegedly reversed his car into the police vehicle, causing minor damage to the police car.
The man attempted to drive away before police apprehended him.
A breath test was conducted and the man returned a reading of 0.192 percent.
The man was taken into custody and charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, evade police, disqualified driving, willful damage and driving whist under the influence of alcohol.
He is due to appear in the Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on Monday.
